Math Explorations

Unit 8 is all about area and perimeter. To kick off our unit and activate our prior knowledge, we explored the relationship between area and perimeter with stations. One station used “super” geoboards! We used velcro and attached 4 boards together. Partners and groups rotated to each station.

Cydney, Liam and Taylor challenged themselves to create different perimeters with the same area. It wasn’t easy, but they figured it out. We enjoyed rotating from activity to activity!
