Farewell Miss DiTullio

Last week we bid farewell to Miss DiTullio 🙁 We gave her picture books to begin her classroom collection and a large squishy ball for morning meeting. She loved our selections!

Throughout Miss DiTullio’s solo week, student and adult amateur photographers snapped photos (Thank you to our fantastic instructional assistants!). She commented that it felt like the paparazzi were following her! Students videotaped memories and reflected on their time with our amazing student teacher. Once we had our footage, I edited them into a video scrapbook of her student teaching journey. The first program I experimented with was Animoto. Animoto created a fun video, but it was challenging to hear some students’ comments. In the end, I used a video editing program to create a DVD that included pictures and video clips of our time together and ended with student reflections. We enjoyed watching the video with Miss DiTullio on her last day! I’ve embedded the Animoto video below for all to enjoy!
